Blurb: When Diego Champagne realizes that he can’t live without Colby Young, he comes up with a plan that will free him from the Banni motorcycle gang forever. He’s prepared to leave everything behind and make a new life for the man he loves and the children for which Colby is now responsible. But he can tell no one, not even Colby, if he hopes to carry it off.

Colby’s having problems accepting that if he’s to remain the guardian of his niece and nephew, he must stay clear of the Banni, and that means Diego. Given Colby’s past, he’s being watched like a hawk, and not just by Child Protection Services. Then Colby’s world spirals out of control when a member of the Banni informs Colby that they found Diego’s body burnt beyond recognition, along with his vest and bike. Miserable and angry at the world, Colby ends up in more trouble, his entire world held together by a thread.

Meanwhile, Diego must fulfill a promise to the leader of the Texas Crushers, who ironically helps him escape from the Banni life. Putting miles and time between him and the man he loves, Diego sets the wheels in motion that will prepare the stage for a crime-free life with Colby and the children. Question is, how will he tell Colby he’s not dead, and will Colby ever forgive him for keeping the truth from him?

Review: I probably should have added this to my review of book 1 in the series, Artificial Moonlight, I’m not drawn to the Sons of Anarchy/ biker gang genre. That said, I’m not against the genre it’s just not usually a topic I seek out. I will say that the plotline is incredibly intriguing and it stayed that way right to the end of this one. I loved the whole idea that not only Diego and Colby but many of the supporting characters, Nuts and Jerry to name a couple, are a perfect blend of stereotypical and outside the box for bikers. Reading those inconsistencies grabbed my attention and held it right till the last page of Moonlight.
As for the writing style of the series, it could use some assistance. It’s not poorly written by any means but it definitely felt rushed. As I said in the other reviews for the series and that seems the easiest way to put it, it felt as if the authors were facing a deadline and weren’t given the time to expand certain parts. For me, that isn’t really a problem but I know that those kinds of holes can be an issue for some.

I don’t know if the authors intend to write anymore of Diego and Colby’s story but this is a perfect ending for the pair. I was pretty sure this is where the storyline was headed even before I was ½ way through the second book but expecting this outcome didn’t lessen my enjoyment of seeing how everyone got there

I will most certainly putting the authors on my “watch for” list.

Blurb: Felix’s life is full, juggling a supportive homelife for his disabled brother, a job as a care home assistant, a brand new boyfriend—and now he’s had his arse pinched by a lewd gay ghost on the late night bus!

If only that were the end of it. But Bryn the ghost follows him home and wheedles himself into Felix’s life. That includes sharing his shameless opinions on the patronizing way Felix treats his brother, on how Felix should eat more food and put some flesh on his bones, and—worst of all—exactly how Felix should be getting down to it with his seriously sexy new boyfriend Mickey! And in between all that, Bryn finds time to leer at Felix himself and make outrageous suggestions on what they’d be doing if Bryn wasn’t…well…ghostly.

Felix considers he’s a tolerant guy. But the last thing he needs now is to get wrapped up in the mystery of a missing teenage girl, the inhabitants of a local squat, and conversations with a fire-and-brimstone old preacher. Yet with a nudge or six from Bryn, the help of his brother Patrick, and some cozy loving from Mickey, Felix starts to wonder how he ever thought his life was busy before!

Review: An insanely busy life between work, caring for his brother, and basically everyone else, but himself, Felix is accosted by a guardian angel of sorts. Well, maybe he’s more like a big ol’ angel-bear. Bryn is thrilled that Felix can sense him, and taunts him constantly, bringing a lot of crude humor and working class gay bear attitude to the story.

Bryn works hard to make Felix see himself in a new light, see that he’s worthy of love, that he needs and deserves to pay attention to his own life. His brother Patrick needs independence more than he needs Felix now, but Felix just doesn’t know how to let go of the mother hen act.

So Bryn gives him a shove, and a grab, and plenty of sexual innuendo along with comedic relief. The biggest thing, besides the humor, that Bryn brings to the table, is opening Felix’s eyes to see that he is worthy of Mickey, and in fact Mickey needs him just as much.

No Angel is a fast-paced read, with humor, a bit of mystery, sexual tension, and a sweet aw shucks ending.

Review: Each book in Anya Byrne’s Lone Wolf Pack collection features a different romantic trio. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

This is an amazing series that I have fallen in love with. Not to mention there is just something more tender about Will and Dean’s story. They had in fact met several years ago at a party with friends and family. Dean had known that Will was his mate and wanted him. The problem was the time and Dean’s father. Forced to leave his mate, to mate with a female in the attempt to keep the one he loved safe. The problem was he had left his mate pregnant.

Now several years later they had all come together again. Dean was alpha of his pack and had two sons by his late wife. Where as Will had their son. Things are a bit tense with them, you can tell the way they are around each other. Dean had not officially claimed Will so many years ago, but he desperately wanted to. However Will didn’t know if he could get over the past.

When danger comes in the form of the council causing all sorts of problems and threats Will notices that Dean is still not back with the pack. That is when they find out that Dean had been captured by the Gathering and was to die for a debt that they didn’t know they had.
Dean had been in love with his mate from the moment they met. They had in fact planned to run away, but his father had put a stop to that.

Now several years later all of them in the same pack, they were still not together. He feared that they would never make their mating official. Now facing death, he was surprised to see Will at the Gathering. Will had come to take his mate home and finish what they started so many years before.

This was a fascinating story that I absolutely had a blast with. Although I would have killed Dean’s father in the first place and taken my mate and run, he is way stronger than I am. Actually I think the strongest one in the group is Will, human and pregnant he survived it all. He had brought his son in to the world. He still loved the man he thought betrayed him so many years before. I loved this book and hope that there is another one in the works. I can’t wait to get my hands on it if there is.

I would recommend reading this, especially if you love the idea that true love does win in the end, sexy shifters, alphas, spunky mates, excitement, surprise, danger and adventure. I loved this book.

Review: This book was previously published with another publisher and has been extensively revised and expanded. Stormy has always given one hell of an awesome story. I loved this story and can’t wait to read more by Stormy. It has a serious tone but there is a hint of humor in it. There is nothing better than a love story with two sexy men but when you can make a story with a humorous side to it, I am sold.

Nicholas worked as an exotic dance and he had watched his boss kill his best friend. Now after a deadly time in witness protection, his crazy ass detective had him dressing up as a woman and living on the other side of the states. Now he was wearing dresses, had boobs, and was called Nicky. Could this get any stranger for him, well you add in a sexy man then I would say yes.

Daniel couldn’t understand how a woman, even one with an ass like hers could turn his head. He was turned the hell on, but the confusion was there. He was as gay as can be. Then the truth came out and Daniel knew the chances of him losing the man he has fallen love with were strong.

I think I spent most of my time laughing as well as biting my lip through it all. The danger coming for Nicky was strong, but Daniel knew he would do everything in his power to keep him safe. I loved this story and was amazed at it. I actually could see this happening the way it happened. It would be one hell of an awesome way to hide from those who want you.

I would recommend reading this especially if you love sexy men, dangerous mob bosses, flirty exotic dancers, deadly situations, feisty attitudes, hot sex, quirky friends, and a great story line. It gives you that and so much more. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. I can’t wait to read more by this amazing author.

Review: Alex has given another amazing Corey Shaw Mystery. I am absolutely in love with Corey. Although I must admit there is some part of me that would not mind smacking him also. This has such a serious tone to it but you can tell that there is just a hint of humor and for me that makes it even better then the average mystery.

I was never one to get into a mystery, give me a good romance any day, but Corey Shaw Mysteries are some of the best ones I have read. The characters are almost perfect and the plots that Alex comes up with are a blessing. I love the fact that Corey and the others have different types of abilities such as telekinesis, Telepathy, and Teleportation.

Corey was going on a cruise with his family. Talk about a pain worse than death. Things started happening and he was getting the scenes in his head. A bombing in London, starts his path down a can’t deny. There was one beautiful sight on this trip. Raul was one of the dancers on the cruise. A gorgeous man who seemed to have more hidden then Corey first thought. He knows that the terrorist on board of the ship. He must protect his family and the man that he is slowly falling for.

I loved the twist that this story gave me. I loved it so much and the fact that the one behind the whole thing was such a surprise made it even better. Usually when I read one I can tell you who the killer is before the ending but this one I had to wait to find out. I mean I was sitting on the edge of my seat and biting my lip waiting for the next chapter. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a story. I loved it and can not wait to get my hands on the next book.

I would recommend reading this book especially if you love a good mystery. This book gives you a sexy man with some great powers, twist and turns, excitement, adventure, action and suspense. Trust me this is an amazing book that you will fall in love with.

Blurb: Doctor Nikolai Hartmann represents himself as a learned man of science who believes wholly in the rational and scientific above all else. In reality, he is a man haunted by an unusual past and running from his own nature. While the Reformation transforms much of Europe, it has yet to touch Hesse-Davia; this is a land mired in superstition and cruel punishments for crimes such as witchcraft and sodomy.

While travelling to the dying king’s bedside to offer his medical expertise, Nikolai is set upon by a bandit. Reaching the king’s ancient stronghold, he discovers his mysterious brigand is the beautiful, arrogant Prince Aleksey. Aleksey is everything Nikolai is not: unguarded, passionate and wilful.

Despite their differences, Nikolai feels an irresistible desire for the young royal that keeps him in Aleksey’s thrall.
But Hesse-Davia is a dangerous world for a newly crowned king who wants to reform his country – and for the man who loves him.

Reviewer: Prime

Review: At first when I started reading this book I was rather concerned. The first 30-40 pages of a 250-page book were just not grabbing my attention. However, as soon as Doctor Nikolai Hartmann meets Prince Alexsey of Hesse-Davia, I quickly became in engrossed in the book. This book isn’t really what I would call a true romance, it seems to me a historical fiction first and a romance second.

Having an interest in history I enjoyed the details – the mention of England, Europe and the Americas. Of course, the author took some historical liberties, but that’s a minor detail. However, one thing that does bother the avid historian within is that only Hesse-Davia was expressed to be a land of brutal punishments when the punishments shown were widely used in Europe and what is presently called the UK. Okay, so the historian within has finished nit picking.

Next, though, because I like details, pinpointing the year this is set did plague me. On the basis that it’s during the reformation (1500-1650), microscopes have at that point been invented (first compound microscope dated to the 1590s) and the 1648 Battle for Prague, we’re well into the latter half of the seventeenth century here.

And surprisingly, now far on the nerdy side, now I’ve worked out that, my mind is at ease.

Nikolai is a fascinating character. He is a man of science and while I wouldn’t say he is haunted by his unusual background, his past has certainly shaped him into the man we are presented him. The subject of his background is a slow reveal, but it more intriguing than it is surprising to me. Nikolai is also sarcastic to the point of hilarity, which leads to some amusing banter between him and Aleksey.

Meanwhile, Prince Aleksey, I actually at first find him annoying and too forceful. He is a general of the proud Hesse-Davia army. But I figure that’s the prerogative of a probably spoiled prince. Also, Aleksey, despite the dangers of doing so with another man, is an ever so charming flirt.

The build up in the relationship between Nikolai and Aleksey is tense (and sometimes not in a good way) and it’s easy to get caught up in the story at this point. The build up is also gradual, which makes for intriguing interactions between the serious Nikolai and the flirty Aleksey. Although I think I do Aleksey an injustice, he can also be very strong, serious and calculating when the occasion calls for it.

I’m going to end with a quick note: John Wiltshire actually stated on a question proposed on the Goodreads website that there would be a sequel to this story, featuring Nikolai and Aleksey. That is great, really looking forward to that! But don’t think that this means that Royal Affair end with a cliffhanger. It doesn’t! In fact, the end is very satisfying and any sequel, hopefully, will be a great, adventure-filled visit of a couple dealing with societies that are completely intolerant to “sodomy”.

Review: Rain is the daughter of a power Alpha couple in a very strict old-fashioned pack. She has heard of the non-traditional ways of the neighbouring rival pack and is trying to get a peek of the new Alpha mating ritual. Jet comes across her and immediately feels a pull. Rain is only 18 and hasn’t even shifted for the first time so he decides to bid his time.

Years pass, Rain has left the pack to live among humans in the city. He father has called her home demanding her to choose a mate this weekend or he will. She goes to think and runs into Jet again, who has mated with a male Garret. Jet agrees to help her by taking her as a mate so she doesn’t have to mate with someone she doesn’t know or like. Garret thinks it’s a plot to take their pack.

This isn’t a bad story as shifter stories go. It’s rather a basic plot, one pack trying to claim another’s land. It felt a little like it may have been part of a series but I couldn’t find if it was. I would have like more on how Garett and Jet met and a bit more of the threesome. A lot of the sex is off page and what is on is pretty tasteful. The only thing is that none of the actual threesome sex is on the page and I would have liked to seen a little of that.

Overall, it was a good story. I did like it.

If you like, werewolves, threesomes, mystery and a cleaner, yet still sexy story this is for you.

Review: This was a pretty good book but it was way too long for my liking. It seemed to be extensive, drawn out and very descriptive. Even with all that, I found myself captivated with the story. I just needed to know what would happen with them both. Although I never thought we had royalty in the United States, it was very well written and a good story. It did have its humorous moments, which made the story even better for me. I can’t stand a story that if it is going to be drawn out, to be in a one toned way.

This particular book just seemed to flow off the pages. I love the way the characters come off, you can tell that there was a lot of feelings put into this story. I must admit though that I would have beaten the tar out of William. He just comes off as all high and mighty.

William was a well-known prince who just happened to come out to the entire world before his parents found out. For the longest time his family had wanted a nice girl for him to marry, but since he opened his mouth, they were planning on marrying him off to a man he had no clue about. He wasn’t too sure what to expect, but it sure wasn’t Lucas. He was finding that he was having a blast spending time with the sexy man.

Lucas had only agreed to go along with the wedding because of duty. It didn’t hurt that William turned him on, all the time. However, Lucas kept to his ways, no sex till after they were married. The problem was he knew in reality that William didn’t want to get married. He felt that this pressure was going to destroy them before the ones who wanted them dead would.

This was a good story but like I pointed out earlier, it was very drawn out. It kept my attention because I really wanted to know what happens to them both. Some parts of it just seem too farfetched for me, but it was well written and the plot was amazing. I would have never thought that parents would switch goals in stride but Williams family did that. I would love to check out the rest of this amazing author’s books.

I would recommend reading this book especially if you love sexy men, royalty, quirky friends, laugh a minute family, dangers, excitement, and suspense. I would also say the sex, when they finally got to it was hot. The buildup was explosive. I can see why they had to take cold showers every night.

Review: When Zachary spends Thanksgiving with a group of friends that share a unique relationship, it only makes him long to have one of his own. While he may not fully understand the inner workings of the threesome that is Paul, Rex and Andie, he can see how much the three of them care for one another. And after spending some time with Zach, Andie thinks she knows just what to get him for Christmas.

Jorell is less than pleased when his job sends him to Alaska, of all places. But when he is charged with setting up Holiday activities along with the equally attractive Zach and Lauren, his prospects just might be looking better. Lauren is at the resort in an effort to forget about a life altering decision she is about to make after being abandoned by her ex when she learned she was pregnant.

Individually they share a feeling of loneliness and a fear that they will never find someone to accept who they are, or what they represent. Two bi-sexual men and a woman being forced to make a decision out of regret. Together though, they can build a strong foundation of love, trust, and commitment… they can have a family.

This was such a sweet, romantic story about three unlikely people who found their way to each other through circumstance. Alone, they each have the same fear, that there is no one out there that could love what they represent. Jorell and Zach are attracted to men and women equally, but don’t believe they will ever find anyone else that shares those feelings. And Lauren is left alone and expecting, abandoned by the father, feeling that adoption is her only hope. As well, why would any man in his right mind want to be with a woman who is carrying another man’s child, much less help her raise that child. Sadly, she doesn’t find any one man who does, she finds two!

This is the first story in this series that I’ve read, I believe every story is a ménage, and Richards has grabbed my attention. I loved the characters were written with the promise of a strong family unit once they connected, and I’m anxious to see what other storylines she has provided, what other predicaments she can portray with words. If you are looking for a fast, fun, fresh read with just the right amount of passion and angst, then this is the perfect short story.

Blurb: Keaton McGrath had been a werewolf for only a few weeks when he was kidnapped and put into service for anyone willing to pay for his company. Now, a year later and rescued from that life, he’s trying to figure out how to be both human and wolf in a world that doesn’t want him. His only escapes are nightly runs, a chance to let loose the energy of the animal within, but when one of those runs ends with him finding a hurt girl in the park, he can’t control his wolf’s fury when he smells her attacker nearby.

Barely keeping himself from killing the man, Keaton calls 911, and then leaves before he can be linked to the crime scene. His hopes to remain anonymous are dashed when Scotty Trumbauer, a local blogger and independent wolf activist, finds him out. Though Keaton’s warned that Scotty is bad news, the chemistry between them is too powerful to ignore, especially when Scotty leaps to defend him.

Keaton just wants to do the right thing without putting the people he cares about in danger. He has to learn, however, that a wolf is stronger when he’s not alone…

Review: I will admit, at the time of reading the book and writing this review, I’ve not read book 1 of the series (Boundless). This is a world that knows the presence of werewolves, but there is a definite fear about the werewolf population. I still understood the story without a problem, although it was easier once I realised that the main couple of Boundless, Elijah and Denny, are linked to bringing Keaton to the point he is at. Kidnapped as a sex slave, he found freedom but now he has to readjust to the real world and his wolf needs the same adjustment to this newfound freedom.

I didn’t feel the thriller or suspense aspect which the publisher filed as part of the book’s genre, particularly considering Keaton’s past and how he stops a sexual assault on a woman in the first chapter (as said in the blurb, too). Keaton seems to treat is past in a nonchalant manner despite telling Corey (the man who helped save him) that he was ready to get the necessary help.

Instead, it seemed he was just happy to move on by getting to know Scotty and also make sure he got out of escapade of saving the woman unscathed. After finishing the book, I’m now wondering if it’s more of a survival mechanism on his part to purposely not think on it. There a couple notable times where his defences fail to protect him from remembering his time locked up as a sex slave.

I have to admit, when Keaton meets Scotty, I was more concerned for Keaton being hurt (his heart mostly, but perhaps also physically again after his traumatic past). I don’t know how to frame Scotty, he immediately brought to mind some sort of hippie, but that is probably because of I’ve gone ahead and stereotyped him once I found out he was an activist for the rights of werewolves. He lost his job a couple of years before over an interview he did, that also set the werewolf cause back as well and now he works on his blog for the cause. The problem is, some werewolves think of him as a pest rather than a help. I found myself chuckling at his second big “scene” with Keaton, but he just seems so bossy and melodramatic.

Scotty doesn’t really seem to appear as much as Keaton’s friends, Corey and probably seen about as much as Elijah, a fellow sex slave from book 1. I can’t tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I suppose it’s just as part of the couple stated on the blurb it would have been nice to hear from him more, but that is limited by the fact that the story is entirely Keaton’s point of view. Regardless, when we do start seeing more of Scotty, I have to say that the relationship he and Keaton share is quite cute.

I enjoyed this book. I think I need to read the first book now! This one kept me interested but some of the politics involved are probably explained in the first book and I’m intrigued, here we find out enough to understand what’s going on.
