Review: I really enjoyed this wonderfully written book. With amazing scenery details. Prince Jiriel feels like he’s imprisoned in the castle walls. He desperately wants to be out and about. After seeing his manservant with his sister, he flees heartbroken.

While out he meets a sexy dragon who takes him for a passionate ride. I loved this story. The only thing I didn’t like was the way it ended abruptly with no warning. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Fantastic read.

Review: This is a hot story (with some smoking hot sex scenes) of one eccentric guy trying to find Mr Right. It’s a good quick read and has a bit of fun thrown in too. Cisco is a great believer in astrology and since reading a fortune cookie, he is convinced that the love of his life is going to be wearing red. The first object of his, if nothing else, is good for some hot sex. The second object of his desire, is Benjy and becomes Cisco’s knight in shining armour.

There is nothing really wrong with this story. It’s enjoyable, the main characters are relatable and there are no gaping plot holes. Instead, I feel that the background of the first guy Cisco goes out with (making up about one-third of the story) wasn’t really fleshed out fully.

My one complaint about the characters and that is from the start Cisco seems to me a bit shallow and I found it hard to get caught by him. It’s not that he was a diva, love divas, but I felt that I needed more.

However, this is a short story and for what it is, it’s an enjoyable, decent read.

Review: Chris lives his life vicariously through his online persona, Christina. He has certain needs, tendencies if you will, that he doesn’t share with anyone except his best friend. As Christina, he is able to at least visually and mentally engage himself, and when the online relationship with Jessica becomes more Chris doesn’t mind.

It’s not until Jessica suggests they meet in the real world that Chris starts to sweat it. What will happen when his online dream girl learns that Chris is not Christina, and that Chris’s tastes or sort of singular?

It’s very hard to review this short without giving away the major plot twist, and since it’s not listed in the synopsis, I’m going to keep my mouth shut about that as well. I’ll just say this is a very well written short story that is not what it seems to be. As the story unfolds, and personalities not only merge but also grow, you learn a lot about Chris/Christina and Jessica that will keep you on your toes and guessing until the fateful meeting.

I thought the relationship between the two characters progressed a little fast, and then there was a little twist let’s just say in the last chapter that wasn’t quite believable for me, but other than that I really enjoyed this sexy little short story.

Blurb: Edward Taylor is a man torn between his honorable façade and his forbidden carnal desires. Outwardly, a proper Victorian family man, Edward secretly craves pain and lusts after men. Review: I believe I have just found a new author that is definitely one to keep an eye out for. Behind Locked Doors, by Nicholas Kinsley, is a captivating story about two men pulled to each other regardless of their social backgrounds. Set in the time period of 1886 where, if caught, you would most certainly find yourself imprisoned for who knows how long. I love historical books, add the element of D/s, and for me it was an obvious choice.

Edward Taylor has struggled for years with his lust for men and his carnal desires. He married a girl he met in Paris, not because he wanted to, but knew he would have to take a wife one day. He liked her well enough, she was intelligent, and a fiery attitude. And, they were friends so why not. Even though he loved her, he wasn’t in love with her.

Until he met Isaac, he very seldom smiled or had anything to feel happy about. He is a man considered of upper class, he owns a factory handed down by his father, and one day will go to his own son. A son that hardly gives him the time of day. He comes across as arrogant and looking down upon others. He is not the man he appears, he is much more. He dreams of being owned by a dominant man, being controlled, and being held in strong arms.

Seeing Isaac steal through a shop window would set the course for Edward’s future. Seeing Isaac smile, especially directed at him, would soon become something Edward could not do without. They established a professional relationship where Isaac, a struggling writer, would fulfill Edward’s desires of pain and pleasure.

Being behind closed doors, having every desire met, consumed him in every way. As their meetings became more frequent, their feelings become more evident. At one point, Edward tries to end things with Isaac because he fears he is getting in too deep, emotionally. Once he realizes that Isaac feels the same he could not get to him fast enough.

Edward was fairly certain he had never felt so happy in his entire life, and were it not for the prospect of seeing Isaac, he was sure he would never feel so happy again. But he would see Isaac – the very next day, in fact – and the feeling of elation Edward felt now would only heighten. Nothing could take the smile from his face. Nothing.

Of course, things don’t always go smoothly or as planned. There is the constant fear of being caught. Edward constantly battles with himself over what he is doing to his family. He tries to justify his actions to himself but he knows, and has known, for a long time where his heart and desires lie.

Nicholas Kinsley has written a beautiful, heartfelt, love story between two men who have come to need each other for more than just their professional arrangement. With the author’s flair of originality, he will open dialogue to the present and the past. Normally, I am not a fan of going back in time.

However, in this setting it was welcomed. We were able to get the visual of how their lives crossed paths, originally, bringing them to where they are in the present. There were a couple of places that caused me to trip, yet only briefly, as the story switched from past to present.

I really liked the way the author handled the Master/sub relationship between Edward and Isaac. During a scene, Isaac had no trouble slipping into his dominant authority and Edward was only too eager to comply. The author’s characterizations and descriptions brilliantly pulled the reader in giving you a feel of actually seeing their surroundings.

“Close your eyes.”
Edward closed his eyes.
It was a folded cloth Isaac blindfolded him with, rough and smelling of soap. He tied it snugly at the back of Edward’s head and without warning spun Edward round.
He hugged him. Edward stifled a gasp, but couldn’t manage to stop his initial flinch. After a moment, after Isaac kept hold of him, rubbing his hand up and down Edward’s back lovingly, Edward exhaled slowly and relaxed.

Behind Locked Doors is a very gratifying novel and the writing style is one that I can easily connect with. The execution of professional to personal was beautifully done showing many more facets of Edward, Isaac, and most of all Marie, Edward’s wife. I love how she worked through the upset and turmoil, and the conclusions she came too. She is a remarkable woman and I’m glad the author showed her as such.

I would recommend this story to anyone who loves historical with D/s mixed into the relationship. There was a bit of suspense always wondering if this were the moment, they would be exposed. The connection they had for each other both in bed and out was incredible. This was a beautiful love story where their happy ever after was achieved even though it still has to remain behind closed doors. Nicholas Kinsley is an author I would definitely read from again.

Review: Warning: Once you start, you won’t want to put it down!

This story is breathtaking. I sat in suspense the entire time I read. For such a short story this one was very complete and covered so much ground. It was like reading a novella.

I could feel Seth’s pain and anger. I really felt for him. Once the storm hit and Casey and the kids were trapped I was so afraid for them there was so many ominous clues dropped I kept wondering what may happen to him and the kids trapped in that. Would they freeze? Would the trees break on them? Could anyone even get to them? There was just so much suspense!

I loved this story and how the storm was more integral than just a backdrop outside a window.

If you like, teachers, Firefighters, suspense, and a very well written short story this is definitely for you!

Review: Have you ever come across a book that will keep you wondering the whole entire time, well this was the one for me. At first, I wasn’t too sure what to think or even if I liked it, however once I started reading I couldn’t put the book down.

It took me a bit of time to actually get into the story and by the time I got half way done, I was ready to shoot Niall. He comes off as an arrogant jerk, but then your opinion changes when you find out why he is the way he is.

Donal was a singer of folk songs and came to the home of his family lines to learn more songs. He was having a good time so when he heard a group play he wanted to introduce himself to them.

To see if he could get some songs from them, what he ends up with is Niall turning him on faster than he thought possible. He knew from the start that Niall had an agenda and was probably using him. It hurt him to think that, but when he found out the truth behind the whole thing, it all changed.

Niall’s family has a bit of history. He was looking for the skin to give back to another family, to basically end a feud. He found Donal gorgeous and he wanted him, however he also needed a ride to a place he thought he could find the skin. He was a Selkie and knew it might take a bit of time. He didn’t want to hurt the man that he has come to love, but he knew he would. He had his secrets and he wonders how Donal would take it.

I loved the way that this story came together for me in the end. It seems to capture you right from the start and keep you there to the very end. I am still not sure if I liked it or not, but damn this story was a blast to read. I felt so bad for Donal and how he was feeling, but the ending was perfect. It gave me almost everything I could possibly want in a story.

I would recommend reading this. It gives you a bit of the paranormal world with fantasy and folk tales mixed in. That and gorgeous men, excitement, hot sex, a bit of suspense and a touch of mystery. I had a blast reading it and look forward to reading more by this amazing author.

Review: Interesting story about Theron, a strige who feeds on emotions, takes an interest in a human named Alex. They slowly get to know one another and finally the day comes when Theron asks him to bond with him. Not sure because there is, no leaving or divorce after bonding only death Alex puts him off.

Athan, Theron’s cousin, interferes and gives them a summons to the Midnight Parliament where they will both have a trial. I really enjoyed reading this wonderfully written story. It was different from anything I’ve read before and it intrigued me greatly. The details about the strige were fascinating.

The sex between Alex and Theron was hot as well as the dreams Alex had about them.

Sweet and emotional yet turbulent and intense at times with a lot of learning and understanding between Theron and Alex. Great read.

Review: Amazing story about two men, Sully, a fallen rider, and Tylan, a prince, on a dangerous journey to reclaim what they lost and to overthrow a ruthless king. The details of the battles throughout the book were intense.

Full of action, drama, mystery, suspense this story grabs your attention from the start and doesn’t let go until the very end, which has a surprising ending I never saw coming. Fast paced, this book will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.

Although I did not read the first book, I most definitely will now to find out how it all began. The intimate scenes between Sully and Tylan were hot. Wonderfully written but it seemed to end on a cliffhanger so will be anxiously awaiting another book in this series.

Highly recommended.

Review: This would have had great potential had it been longer with a bit more detail and story line. As is it is a cute, hot and very sexy little story. It makes for a cute little read while on break or just needing some time away from real life. If you by-pass the fact that it is paranormal and urban fantasy, you can see this happening in real life. I mean the part about searching for something more but not sure what.

Sol had been bitten by a werewolf and had yet to go through his first change. He hated his job and pretty much his life. He wanted a bit more from life. So he finds himself walking into a club with no clue what is going to happen. What shocked him even more is a big man who wanted him even more. This story does have a bit of suspense and twists.

I did have a blast with it, but would have felt better had it been a longer story. I mean it is basically he got bit, now he is a werewolf, meets sexy man, and then some very hot sex. However I don’t know anyone who is going to give up their total control to a stranger. It is a very cute little story though.

I would recommend it for a quick and fun read.

Review: I have found another favorite author and I can’t wait to see her other books. This was an amazing paranormal romances story where it shows not the finding mate, ending up in bed right after mating and a touch of danger. This one shows that they knew they were mates and it takes them several years to get it all figured out.

Ben had been raised by a mean drunk who love to bring on pain. He had a human friend that would help him, but it was done knowing his mate was being left behind. Dave had his own secrets that he never told, but now that he was beta, he knew the truth would come out. They both needed to forgive and go forward.

Now if only the other would stop long enough for Ben to do the apologizing and explaining.

I had a blast reading this, although it was too damn short to really love. It gave me almost everything I could want in a story. I look forward to reading more by this amazing author. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end.

Review: Each book in Dropping Anchor collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This story was just as good as book one. Bru has a gift of giving you a story that captures your attention from the start and keeping it all the way to the end. Although for me, I look forward to when it gets really frisky. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, a little bit of humor, a touch of fear and there is something about them that has you falling in love all over again.

Ian had inherited quite a bit of money and had decided that he needed a change. His usual one nightstand hookups, he was soon realizing were not even one night stands. His best friend lived near the water and he decided that it sounded good, although he wasn’t so sure about what he truly wanted to do. He seemed to be a bit lost after his best friend fell in love.

Now realizing that he was where he needed to be, he has made a commitment. He was pretty good at sailing and decided that he could give lessons to those who wanted or needed it. Then he meets Luke, and his attraction heats up. He had never been around children so when Luke finally introduces him to Leo, he has fallen in love again. Now he just has to work on his communication skills.

Luke was basically a parent and did not want Leo to get use to someone in his life, before he could learn if they were going to stick around. When he met Ian, he was turned the hell on but shocked also. Their first actual talk was a bit strained. However, with time they soon became to realize that they wanted the same thing. They wanted to be with each other. Now if Ian would learn that he doesn’t need nor want Ian to control other things that are not his business.

Yes, they really needed to work on their communication skills. Time will tell what will happen to this little family.
I absolutely love this book almost as much as I have loved the first one in this series. I can’t wait to read the next story. They do have a bit of a serious tone to them but there is a lot of humor in them that I love. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving, and having fun.

Review: Bailey Bradford has written another amazing story. Loved the details all throughout. Well written that keeps your attention from start to finish. Loved that Jack, an alpha wolf shifter, was a caring, loving Alpha toward Malakai.

They seemed to be what the other needed.

Malakai’s, a fox shifter, his past broke my heart but was very glad he was able to escape. I understood his insecurities around other people as he had been in a cage most of his life. With Jack’s help, he gains confidence in himself. Absolutely loved this book.

Highly recommended.

Review: I loved this story of two men who have both been hurt learning about trust and love from each other and healing past hurts. Oscar is a vampire and Liam is a tiger shifter. This story really touched my heart with what felt genuine emotions from both characters.

I was very happy that things worked out for them, as they grew closer together. Wonderfully written. Fantastic addition to the Silver Bullet series.

Highly recommended.

Blurb: Nathan Stephenson died seventy years ago and he’d like the world—or at least one person—to think he stayed that way.

In 1940s London, Sergeant Nathan Stephenson ignored his rank and the expectation that he’d wait for the war to be over and find a nice girl to settle down with, and took a lover. Not only was Cian Ambrose unashamed of his bisexuality, he was also proud to be a vampire. Back then, he was certain that his and Nathan’s relationship would last forever, refusing to take no for an answer.

One evening, Cian went too far in his attempts to persuade Nathan to become a vampire and left a mutual acquaintance, Jonathan Cutler, to deal with the aftermath. What Cian doesn’t know is that Nathan didn’t die—Jonathan brought him back to life, agreeing to keep Nathan’s continued existence a secret.

It’s now the twenty-first century and Jonathan’s back to call in the favor. Nathan’s an honorable man and can’t say no, but the trouble is, wherever Jonathan goes, Cian Ambrose can’t be far behind…

Review: I wasn’t so sure about this story. However, anything with a good vampire in it makes for a better day. It is a historical, which is not one of my favorite types of books though. It is pretty much the language they used back then that makes it a bit confusing for me to truly get into.

However, it didn’t deter me though, once I started reading I couldn’t seem to put it down. I wasn’t too sure which character I like more than the next one. Even though Cian was pretty much a bad boy back in the day, he seemed to change quite a bit. Too bad Nathan doesn’t seem to get that in his head.

Nathan had been a sergeant in the war quite a long time ago, but he has been dead for over seventy years ago. Everyone thought he should have settled down and marries some female, but unfortunately, for him he loved men. One man in particular was the one he loved though. He also hated Cian. Now Jonathan was back with a girl and wanted to change her. He asked Nathan for his help.

The only thing is he had kept his life away from Cian and made him think he was dead. However wherever Jonathan was, he knew Cian would be also. In his life, he had one true friend and Ruby gave her blood to him without reservation. Even though her mother hated him, she was his friend so when someone attacks her, Nathan is out to get her attacker. The only problem was he assumed Cian was the one who did it. No one said the man had brains.

Cian had not known about Nathan and was pissed by it. He had at one time been his true friend and lover. He knew he had been reckless with it all, but to not know the answers was just downright cruel. He also knew the answers to who had hurt Ruby and would do everything in his powers to help the man he loved. Even if it meant never seeing him again.

Now for me the story is well written and flows off the pages. The problem was that even though I got into the story, my focus couldn’t seem to catch on to certain parts of it. It seemed to be drawn out more to me then it needed to be. However, I think that was just me. It was a pretty damn good story though. I did have a kick with it and love a good vampire.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. I look forward to seeing more stories by this amazing author. It gives you sexy men, vampires, hot sex, danger, excitement, surprise, and suspense. I don’t know about you but give me a sexy paranormal any day.
