Review: Each book in Brac Village collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. In fact if you want the full impact start with Brac Pack book one. From that book you will start to learn who each character is and how they mix with all the others. There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. I love the way Lynn can put together a book that not only fascinates you but draws you in. I had a blast reading this and look forward to reading more by Lynn.

There is something about the way that Lynn tells a story that will not only draw you in and keep your attention the whole time, but it will more than likely have you laughing your ass off. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story. This story is perfect for when you are trying to take a break.

Dasani is a cute little shadow elf and you will absolutely fall in love with him. He has the worst family ever or at least father wise. Now that man should have been eliminated from the beginning. He tried to mate Dasani with his sister, so not happening. Dasani was interested in this one tiger at the Lakelands. He only intended to watch and drool, but that was until one of the crazy ass bears caught him. Now he finds out that the tiger is his mate. Oh boy is he getting his ass spanked.

Winter knew as soon as he smelled Dasani that the little guy was all his. Now if only he can keep him from shimmering out. He also knew from the stories that he needed to watch his back and keep his gorgeous mate safe. Even if that meant he needed to tie him to the dang bed. He also knew he had to show Dasani that he would in fact keep him safe and well loved.

I absolutely love this book almost as much as I have loved the others in this series. I can’t wait to read the next story. When Lynn puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. They do have a bit of a serious tone to them but there is a lot of humor in them that I love. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: Two Red Leaves is the sequel to The Last of the Summer Tomatoes. However, to be perfectly honest, I hadn’t realised that this was a sequel and then when I had I didn’t bother stopping to go back. Other than a few assumed facts, this was simple to pick up the story of what was happening between Kyle and Sam with some nice adequate summaries given when necessary.

This is a coming of age that gives the day-to-day life of college-age boys Sam and Kyle who are in love and know that they want to be together as a monogamous couple. There is, however, a lot of melodrama, or perhaps rather, so many different dramatic plot points woven (even crowbarred) into the story.

I think that made everything feel a bit rushed, but I can overlook that for now. Although one disadvantage of not reading book one would be that I don’t know if any of these plot lines are in fact tying up loose ends from the previous book and then opening a whole lot of other cans of worms in order to keep the story going.

But I have to say I do like how Sam and Kyle are written to conduct their relationship, particularly in the first half of the book. It’s not just about a couple horny guys who subsequently find love. There are also the trials of long distance relationship and then moving in together and learning to support each other through their different family issues.

There are a lot of things that just happen to these two (poor sods), which sometimes seems a little rushed to tie up. Within all the melodrama, there are a number of medical “miracles”, or probably more accurately something that is not always known to turn out particularly good. The scientist in me, it is a good portion of my mind, is a little iffy about those sorts of things. The ending was good and things for the most part were resolved, however, I thought that it felt a bit rushed.

This is fun to a certain degree, though to me this is a realistic look at the many, many things that could happen in a life, even if it is over just a short period of time. There isn’t much in the way of clichés, but there is plenty of drama. Though I can pick at it, it’s a difficult book not to enjoy it on some level.

Review: This was a cute and very sexy little story. I had such a blast reading it and look forward to more like this one. It gave me almost everything I could want except for of course length. The characters were well written and you can tell that the author wrote with so much feeling in it. These two guys were perfect, but I have to admit that I loved Gianni more.

Gianni was a master at making chocolate. Ever since he had been a child, he loved to be in the kitchen. His family had even sent him to Paris to learn. He spent most of his time cooking instead of dating. He didn’t seem to know what to do with girls, but had never really looked at boys. So when James shows up, his heart is lost. When these two get together, it is so tender, sweet, and hot.

It is a cute little story that I can see reading more. In fact, I might just make it a Valentine’s Day forever read. I loved it and would recommend reading it. It is cute for a day when you just need a little pick me up story. Gorgeous men and the right moment is what I got from this. I had fun.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

Blue has always been owned for as long as he can remember. Coming to the nest is the first bit of freedom he has ever had. He is not beaten or mistreated by others. But he never believed it could last, and when he is dragged from his bed in the middle of the night he is proven right. Blue is then handed over to his former owner he believes he is going to be killed, until Lightning storms the house and saves Blue.

Lightning has wanted Blue since he first saw him. But he also doesn’t want Blue to feel he needs to be with Lightning. When Blue is taken he does whatever he has to as long as Blue is safe and gets back to the nest. When the two finally make it to a safe house to hide from the humans and other things in the woods they come together and finally admit what they want.

I really loved Blue. His life has not been the best, and some of the things he says and thinks make me believe it was worse than descriptive completely. I think Lightning is perfect for him. He does not want to control Blue, but just love and protect him. That is something Blue very much needs. Plus the sex scenes were pretty hot without being overly gratuitous.

I enjoyed this story. Not only does it give Blue and Lightning’s mating, but it also gives looks into other characters. There is a passage with King Dravick and his human lover. There are also several passages with some of secondary characters that have been introduced before. I look forward to their own books, since I am assuming they will get them. Either way I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

Matty grows up with a Nefariouses as a father and had a hellish childhood. After hearing the things he father told him over and over his self-image is not the best and he can easily doubt himself. Bram has an uphill battle to make Matty see that he deserves to be happy and loved in their mating. However, Bram has his own issues to make himself the perfect mate for Matty.

Bram has been the leader of MYSTIC since the beginning, and he is also a Dom. He needs to balance his need to control everything and the needs Matty has. Things are far from perfect. Bram has a temper and his needs to watch how he reacts since little things can send Matty spinning into despair fast. Both Matty and Bram have to work at making it work for the both of them.

Except for some minor editing issues this was well written and paced. There was plenty and hot and interesting sex scenes that were balanced out with drama and action. I also really love the uniqueness of this series. The ending gave me a whole “damn” moment.

So I really look forward to learning more about that issue in further books plus the other things that were revealed.

Review: Such a great book. Loved the way Jaymes, a vampire, tried his best to think of Paul’s, a human and his mate, needs before his own. It was sweet the way he explained the workings of the ranch and the way he held himself back to keep from scaring Paul.

I didn’t care for Caleb, as he seemed like the type of guy that got his way even when what he did was wrong. He should’ve had to answer for the things he did wrong then he wouldn’t have been able to hurt Paul. Intense scenes between Caleb and Paul.

Loved this book. It was a great addition to the A Loving Nip series. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

Highly recommended.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

This book starts off with bang and keeps them coming.

Sawyer and Ricky have known they were mates for six years. Many things kept them apart and unable to claim each other, mainly both their fathers. So they have kept things hidden and only been able to meet a few times and nothing serious was ever done between to keep their scents from changing. But that all changes when Sawney gets word that Ricky is in trouble. Sawyer rushes to get Ricky out of his home pride and take him to the Potter’s Creek pride.

Ricky is an omega and believes his father has hated him for it. But that is least of what is really going on. Ricky has been locked in his house for a long time with only his sister coming to see him. Anytime he steps foot off his property he is beaten by members of his pride. Things are not what they seem in the de Luca pride. Secrets are revealed that leave Ricky doubting what he thought he knew for years.

Both Ricky and Sawyer are sweet together. Having to be apart for so long has taken a toll on both of them, but they do love and care for each other. Sawyer proves he will do whatever it takes to protect Ricky. Ricky outside of his pride and feeling safe is able to open up. He is able to be happy and laugh, and finally be with Sawyer as his mate.

I really love Stormy Glenn and the different series she writes. This series is one of my favorites. But this is perhaps not my favorite books from the series, although I did enjoy it. I think I would have preferred a little more time dedicated to their mating and less about the issues in the de Luca pride. Also some more about their meeting in the past, instead of them just being alluded to.

So other than those issues it was well written and paced.

I had a blast reading this story. The only real problem I have is that it is not long enough. I want a book that will keep my attention for hours on end. This story is perfect for when you are trying to take a break.

Hell hounds and angels had saved many souls and brought them to the place they are now. Sandro was one of those souls. At twenty-four he was an intelligent math teacher who had no life what so ever. So he planned parties for his friends and had goals.

What he had not expected was to trade himself for one of the kids, try to end his life before the devil got ahold of it and find his mate all in one night. Dag was a hell-hound and gorgeous as well. Sandro wanted him something bad. The problem was these two had no communication what so ever.

Dag had been having visions of this gorgeous man and was shocked as hell to find out that Sandro was his mate. He wanted to take things slow and feared getting rejected. The problem was when either one of them spoke the other did not understand or took it out of context. Like I said they had no communication what so ever. If they didn’t learn really fast, they were going to screw up their mating even more.

However when they do hook up, damn is it sweet, hot and sexy as hell. I felt bad about these two men throughout most of the book. They both wanted the other, could heat up the house from them just being in the same room and tried harder than ever to get the other one.

The problem with this book was it went further than it needed. It was more detail than needed however there was parts that were missing to it. They are gearing up for a war, but one little fight in the beginning and then nothing. It just didn’t mesh for me. It didn’t turn me off this book though.

I absolutely love this book almost as much as I have loved the others in this series. I can’t wait to read the next story. When Flynn puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. Review: I can honestly say that I am pissed with this story, but in a good way. Astrid has given me a story to fall in love with, but there was no true ending to the story. I cannot see if there will be a book two though. It is a great start to a brand new series and I sure hope that this will head that away. So unfair to just leave me hanging. I mean there was not even a bit of sex, just a hint of how hot and passionate it would be from just a kiss.

Ben is a fire fighter and has been working for a couple of days on a fire that was destroying many acres, lives both human and animal, homes and what was considered valuables. To him they left in such a hurry that they left animals behind. Saving some, just about ended his life. Only to find out that dragon’s and others existed. For a sexy dragon saved his life, then turned into a human. Shock for him that is for sure.

I had a blast reading this. I gave me almost everything I could want in a story. I just wished that it had been longer. It would have made a perfect long story had there been more to it. I want some more action, excitement, suspense, and some hot sex though.

I would recommend reading it. It was a fun, short and sexy little story that is for sure.

Review: This is a pretty amazing story however it was missing certain parts for me to truly love. It was way to short and left me hanging in many aspects. It does make for a cute, little hot story for a bit of time away from the world.

Marin had been in love with Aeëtes, but Aeëtes sister is an evil bitch with a grudge. She had cursed him not realizing that he was in fact the heart of Atlantis. After quite some time, he has found a man that he knew was his mate. He had such a short time to show him and knew that Marley would prove him right.

Now Marley had just ended a time with a jerk, and looked forward to fixing the problems in his life. What he had not expected was the merman of his dreams to be true. I did have some difficulties understand how an evil bitch would end her desires so soon. For me to continue going after him would have made for a better story.

I look forward to seeing what the next story will give. I did have a blast with it though. It is after all a very sensual and cute little story.

Review: I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I am still smiling a day later. I’ve been sitting on this a few days because, you know…life. Of course, had I read it earlier, I would just be dreading that it was over that much longer. This is an incredible, feel good romance that has you rooting for both characters till the very end. Making Nice by Elizah J Davis is crazy good.

The author does a splendid job in summarizing this story in the blurb. It’s everything she says and so much more. Blake wants nothing more than for his twin sister to be happy and be loved as she deserves. Since they have always been together, have always been each other’s confidant and lean to, Blake can’t help but feel a little left out when his sister finds her one and only.

Finding out that Matt, Bianca’s fiancé is actually a pretty great guy only makes him feel worse for doubting him. However, Matt’s best friend Ryan, is a completely different story. He IS everything Blake thought. A jerk, a loudmouth, and an ass more times than not. He’s also sexy, gorgeous, very charming, and has Blake turned upside down from the first moment their eyes meet.

The doorbell rang before Matt could launch into his “dos and don’ts” list again, and Ryan popped up from his chair and grabbed the pizza money off the table. “Seriously, man. You need to chill out. It’ll be fine.”

“Hey, man, how much do I owe you?” Ryan stopped short, nearly hitting himself in the face with the door when he actually looked at the guy standing there.

Definitely not the pizza boy, and easily the most gorgeous guy Ryan had ever seen in a good long while.

Ryan turned his head and shouted, “Did you guys order me a hooker?” He turned back to the hooker/underwear model and grinned. “It’s not even my birthday.”

“What are you – Jesus, Ryan,” Matt said coming up behind him. “This is Bianca’s brother.”

I’m pretty sure from this point forward I had a continuous smile on my face. Ryan is hilarious always sticking his foot in his mouth. Blake is constantly being offended by him and yet he can’t stop thinking about him. Matt and Bianca want them to be friends so for their benefit, they try to work out a friendship.

Their chemistry is off the charts and the one place they work well together…in bed. And it is H.O.T. and you want more and more. They are a perfect matcfanart elizah davish, complement each other beautifully, while they are in the bedroom. Away from the bed, they are oil and water. However, for the benefit of the people, whom they love more than anything, they will fake a friendship. How hard could it be?

Of course, if it could go wrong it pretty much does. Miscommunication plays havoc with their feelings. Lies start getting buried and in order to shovel out from them they need to start telling some truths. Not only to family and friends but to each other. Blake battles past hurts from an ex he can’t seem to get past. Telling Ryan about it is out of the question, and he realizes too late that Ryan thinks it’s about him.

As the wedding gets closer, Blake and Ryan get closer as well. Their family and friends see it, but Blake and Ryan are blind to the others actions and things continue to get mixed up. Will they ever figure out both are head over heels for the other before it’s too late?

I love, love stories like this. The humor and banter are infectious between the whole cast. The jibs and jabs are endless and will keep you smiling and laughing from start to finish. The author does an excellent job fleshing out the characters and you will love every single one of them. The secondary characters are every bit as funny and contagious as the main. The execution of the plot flowed seamlessly and I was irritated every time I had to lay the book down to do something else.

The storyline is old as time. Enemies to friends to lovers, sometimes skipping the whole friend thing and just going from enemies to lovers. But, Elizah Davis has added her own originality and creativity to the plot that will leave you completely captivated with her story.

Would I recommend this to others?

Hell, yeah!!

It was gratifying, infectious, hilarious, and I could go on and on. Go get it, read it for yourself, you will see what I mean. It is a love story, romantic, funny, and there is no way you won’t be smiling from ear to ear when finished. I feel like the Grinch when he gave back the Christmas tree and his heart started getting bigger and bigger. Making Nice will make your heart grow bigger and bigger.

Review: I liked Tarquin and Marc’s story of how they were turned to stone for sleeping with a sorcerer’s wife. However there were a few things that confused as they were never explained. One of them was how they were released for 24 hours a year. That didn’t make sense to me. The second was in the beginning they knew the sorcerers name then later they mentioned they wished they knew it. That didn’t make sense.

Other than those two things it was an o.k. read with intense scenes. The sex was hot, except for the short m/f/m scene. Didn’t care for that at all, as I’m an m/m reader so I skipped that part altogether.

Review: To Be Loved is the sequel to To Be Human. I highly recommend to read the first book before going onto this, I’m not entirely certain it would make sense to pick up book 2 without reading book 1. This is a true sequel, which focuses on the same characters and story arc continuing from book 1 and picks up where the first left off.

I have to admit this one isn’t quite as good as the first book, however. I’m not entirely sure why, the same complexity was there but the punch wasn’t quite as strong. There wasn’t the same wow factor, but it was certainly a good, intense read. This is the type of book you don’t read all at once in fear that your head might explode from the complexity.

The characters featured in the book are much the same as the first one, though we have one character that is resurrected, or rather didn’t die in the first place. We continue the adventures of Tim (genetically engineered life form, TM 05637) who we last saw was recaptured by the evil colonel after being on the run. He has a boyfriend too, David, who he met in the outside world and now they have a fight to stay together while at the same time trying to destroy the same military that are training Tim to be a killer.

David is in the book, naturally, but I felt a lot of the time he took a backseat to Tim. He is the ever kind and understanding boyfriend and honestly his characters doesn’t change with his unwavering loyalty towards Tim, not necessarily a bad thing, mind you.

I particularly enjoyed how Tim’s reconditioning was set up in the beginning of the book. It kept the ball rolling and I think was good for shock factor. Another thing I enjoyed was Tim’s wonder. In my review of To Be Human I compare him to the Terminator, River from Firefly and Data from Star Trek: TNG. Here he is purely Data in that through the action and the need to save David he gets one step closer to being human and understanding the emotions that the people in the lab forced him to suppress.

The story also picks up about Tim’s need for a special type vitamin, engineered so that his body can break it down. I mention this because this is my one gripe from the book because in winding up this plot point it felt like it was a rush to the end and the solution was just too simple (I won’t add any details and give things away).

It’s an intense and good read. If you loved the first book, you’re going to have to read just because it might be bugging you to know what happens to Tim and David.

Blurb: “Welcome to a new season of Burned, where we find fresh new cooking talent… and a few culinary disasters! Every season we do something a little different, and this time it’s all about the sweet things in life. Get ready in week one as twenty pastry chef hopefuls and dessert connoisseurs compete for the thirteen coveted workspaces in our Burned kitchen. With stakes this big, we ask the one question on everyone’s mind: Do these chefs have what it takes to rise to the top? Or will they get Burned?”

Burned contestants Chase and Kai are attracted from the start and can’t wait to spend more time getting to know each other… until they see the first episode treatment and realize the producers intend to portray them as bitter enemies. At first it’s fun to pretend to bicker—enemies on film, lovers when the cameras stop rolling—but soon it’s hard not to take the faux rivalry seriously.

It’s only when their choice is to band together and bake their way to the final or get burned that they find where their real loyalties lie.

Review: Sometimes the right book falls into your lap at the right time. Coming off of some emotionally charged reads, I was looking for the opposite. Second of three standalone reads in the ‘Just Desserts’ series (‘Macarons at Midnight’ was equally adorable), ‘Soufflés at Sunrise’ fit the bill perfectly. If you’re looking for angst, grit and extremely intense emotion, this is not today’s read. If what you want instead is a fun story, and a love connection set in the midst of a reality TV baking competition (think Top Chef), then you need to hop on the M.J. O’Shea – Anna Martin train. Fun things are happening here.

Get ready to fall for two ridiculously adorable MCs – Kai and Chase are great; they are so easy to like individually and as a couple. Their first glance mutual attraction works for me; it’s always a nice way to start a couple off. I appreciate that these two did not go the insta-love or even insta-lust route. Time is taken to build this friendship, this relationship.

Though this pairing isn’t off the charts hot, it does have sexy and surprising moments. Kai and Chase seem to have this innocence about them (ah, young love) even when they get it on, which, thanks to the stringent rules of the competition, they are forced to delay. I love the teasing and the build-up. There are moments where things get a little ‘down and dirty’, with a bit of kink, and somehow that’s adorable too.

‘Burned’ is written very much like a reality show you would see on today’s line up, and the conflicts experienced definitely stem from the stress of the competition and its ‘rules’. Though not gut wrenching, it all feels very real. The challenges are interesting enough and the desserts sounded enticing enough that I want to taste almost all of them. Kai and Chase have me (almost) running into the kitchen and I am NOT exactly a baker.

M.J. O’Shea and Anna Martin have written a fun read with solid, heart-warming characters and a happy ending that suits the story and its MCs. Like a nice warm blanket; it keeps you cozy, makes you want to snuggle and just feels damn good. Kai and Chase are a great way to brighten up a rainy day, and they most definitely put a smile on my face. Here’s hoping they do the same for you!

Review: This is book 3 in the Butterfly Hunter series. However, I didn’t realise this at the time and was able to read this as a standalone novel. There were some parts where I probably would have benefited from reading the previous books. This is mostly because I thought that the story was a bit flat at some points although I was able to completely comprehend what was going on.

The story is simple enough. It is the story of two men who have been married for seven years, Nicholas and Dave, who really have not stopped falling in love. However, life is about to throw them some complications, one in the form of a confused teen (Nicholas’s nephew who is ever so slightly in love with his uncle) who is about to start uni. I found this intriguing but it didn’t really get too much into the nitty gritty, there could have been a lot more drama here and I just feel that it could have been a benefit because sometimes the story seemed too understated.

The other spanner in the works is Nicholas’s health although the storyline of Nicholas’s doesn’t really kick in until the final third, that was done well enough but at this point it just felt too obvious that plots were wrapping up and things just seemed too rushed.

However, all that said, I really love the relationship that Dave and Nicholas have. It is incredibly sweet and beautiful. I also particularly enjoyed how the emotions of their love were expressed through the writing, really heart warming.
