Blurb: Toby and Damon’s whirlwind romance continues, but can they find a balance between love and work? Do they even want to?

Toby can scarcely believe that his life has changed so much in less than two weeks, but it has. His predictable little life has gone from routine to sexually adventurous in a matter of days. And to be honest, he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Damon’s just as into Toby, more interested in exploring with his new lover than spending all his time at the bar. Luckily things are running fairly smoothly there with his hand only occasionally needed on the rudder.

Their idyllic love affair has a few bumps to withstand, though, in the form of an intruder with a gun. Can Toby and Damon survive what happens next?

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

This books starts with a bang and they do not stop coming. This is definitely packed full with the sexy, sensual, and at times raunchy sex anyone who is a regular reader of Sean Michael will be familiar with. Along with the good humor and sometimes serious, it was a well written look at the continuing story of Toby and Damon. Their relationship is still evolving as they grow closer and their feelings for each other deepen.

Damon is slowly teaching Toby how to be truly free for the first time in his life. Reading about the very different ways Damon is doing this is both cute, and damn hot. Damon not only opens Toby up sexually but also in everyday life. Toby’s normal structured days are giving way to spur of the moment ideas and trying new things.

Toby and Damon are some of my favorite characters Sean Michael has come up with. Toby is just adorable. So sensual in his art work. Yet he was so innocent in a way about the rest of life. Damon is definitely the perfect match for him. Damon forces Toby out of his comfort zones and makes him live, makes him be open to new things. He also doesn’t let Toby doubt himself. He makes sure to tell him he is amazing and loved.

This books leaves a few windows open for more to come and I really hope there is another book in the series. I really enjoy these two men and want to see more of their relationship and how it changes and grows. Technically they have only been together a short time so there could be so much more to explore with them.

And I can’t wait to read it.

Review: Dax is a police detective and an alpha wolf. He is currently trying to find out the reason why three black bear shifters were murdered. With no clues and completely stumped Dax turns to his ex-lover Adin to see if he could shed some light on what is happening to his fellow black bear shifters, Dax finds that his feelings for Adin never faded and as the murders continue Dax has to try to rein in his possessive, protective nature.

Adin’s always regretted that things didn’t work out with Dax but he refuses to be ordered about, when Dax turns up asking for information on bear shifters Adin and Dax burn up the sheets but the problems are still between them. When Adin comes into the killers sights Dax sees for himself that Adin can take care of himself and the two come to a happy medium.

This is quite a good shifter story with some great background and insights; the story is well written and quite enjoyable. I liked the characters and the storyline and also enjoyed the fact that there was no insta-love or fated mates. It was just two shifters who were attracted to each other compatible in bed, but seemingly incompatible out of bed.

Dax is pure alpha and wasn’t able to control his need to protect what is his, Adin is a bear shifter who has always taken care of himself put the two together and you have smoking hot sex but a clash of personalities. There is a killer silently killing bear shifters for their own twisted revenge and it is the catalyst that drives Dax back to Adin. While trying to catch a killer Adin and Dax’s explosive relationship re-ignites, but they still have issues to overcome if they don’t want it to splutter out.

This story is actually written from three perspectives Dax’s, Adin’s and the killer’s, so we can see everything that is going on. The relationship between Adin and Dax is explosive and they are fantastic together in bed, but out of bed Dax has to get a grip on his instincts because Adin won’t be coddled. You get a great feel for both characters and what they both feel and how they both struggle with Dax’s protective instincts, their relationship isn’t perfect but this time they are willing to try.

The killer is someone who you, in a way, feel sorry for, they have been through their own hell and it has twisted them and that shines through from the killer’s thoughts and feelings.

I recommend this to those that love shifters, a twisted killer who is determined to get revenge, two shifters who have to work through their instincts, hot sex and a great ending.

Review: Each book in Granite County collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. There is something about the way that Bellann tells a story that will not only draw you in and keep your attention the whole time, but it will give you parts that will have you laughing.

The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their lovers with everything in them. I had a blast reading this story. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book. This particular book took it even a bit further. There was someone in pain and the man who loves him helped him completely.

Cooper, Craig and Clark had been the brothers that one would always want. They were tight nit and very protective of each other. Clark had died from AIDS that he had received from a woman. From that time on Cooper and Craig had made a vow to always protect themselves. The problem in that was that Cooper had so much pain in him, that he had gone to cutting. He couldn’t find a way to get rid of the pain he felt. That was how he met Oliver,

Oliver was a professed Dom who could help, but only came close to killing him. He escaped and went to seek help from his brother. What he had not expected was Bishop.

Bishop was in shock, here he was sent to pick up a cat. A cat that missed her owner. So when he went to deliver her, to his surprise he found a man that he wanted for life. He also knew that there was something in this little guy that called to him and he knew he would protect him. He just had not counted on Oliver, being someone from his past. The man was pure danger and was as deadly as a snake. It would be up to Craig, Bishop and Synn to keep Cooper safe. It was up to Bishop to keep him happy.

I think this was the best one in this series yet, but to make sure I will have to go read them all over again. I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series. One that I will have to read over and over. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. It was the perfect story for me and I loved it. I can’t wait to read the next story.

I came across Bellann’s stories a few months ago and I can tell you that they always keep me entertained and my attention caught. It is the way the words just fly of the pages and how they keep you captivated with them. It doesn’t hurt that they guys are totally gorgeous. I love how Cooper is small and is the opposite of Bishop. Bishop comes off as a total hero and is the perfect man for Cooper.

When Bellann puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. They do have a bit of a serious would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: Andrew ‘Indie’ Walker has never had a girlfriend, but he’s never given any thought to the possibility of being gay. When a winter storm forces him to share body heat, and a bed with his handsome roommate Daniel, Indie starts to realize that he is attracted to Daniel on a personal level.

The two decide to accompany each other home for the holidays, first to Daniels home where late night walk in the park leads to their first kiss, a heated exchange up against picnic table. But Daniels destructive home life soon gets in the way and Indie flees to his own home town, fearing he’s not only lost his best friend, but lost something he can’t put a name to just yet.

I was pleasantly surprised at just how much content this short story contained. Grace and Hunter give the reader detailed insight into both young men’s lives and emotions. My favorite aspect to this story was the inner monologue for Indie. Andrew Walker, lovingly dubbed Indie by his little sister who couldn’t pronounce his name, is a very confused young man. The story is told through his eyes as he navigates his ever-growing feelings for his best friend.

A virgin who has never been kissed, much less had a sexual experience with a guy or a girl, Indie slowly comes to terms with the fact that not only is he gay, he is in love with Daniel.
My only issue with the story was how quickly Daniel went from adamantly proclaiming, I’m not gay, to I love you and can’t live without you. Perhaps it was because the focus of the narration was with Indie, but I didn’t quite get the mind change for Daniel.

Regardless I was so engrossed in this story about roommates and best friends turned lovers over Winter break. Narrated by Michael Pauley who either has the accent with that slight Wisconsin drawl as an undertone, or he adapted it flawlessly for this story. The tones and inflections he chose for the characters were perfect for their part in the story.

Short, sexy and steamy while being well written, full of content and perfectly told by Pauley. If you are a fan of Gay for you type stories, young love, and stories about discovering who you are then you’ll surely enjoy this book.

While Noah is enthusiastic about the opportunity to play with the former international leather title-holder, Cam is more wary. He and Lou have unfinished business. Review: Finn and Nate have been best friends since they were both knee-high to a grasshopper. And while life hasn’t always been easy for Finn, Nate has always been there to catch him, his protector of sorts. At just seven years old, Finn was hit by a car, and while the damage to his legs was permanent, he still has the use of them. His best friend Nate stayed by his side.

At the tender young age of eight, Finn realized he was in love with his best friend, and he has kept that little secret tucked safely away deep down inside for the last twenty-one years. He and Nate are still best friends and now co-workers and roommates. With Finn’s thirtieth birthday just around the corner, Nate surprises him with a thirty-day trip across the country complete with thirty envelopes of thirty things to do. See the theme here?

The trip starts off innocently enough, but then a few days in during the bungee jumping portion of the trip, their relationship changes. Pinned together by a thin rope while possibly plummeting to their death, Finn’s almost exact words, something akin to sexual tension permeates the air. And then an anything but innocent kiss becomes so much more during the skinny dipping portion of the trip.

As quickly as Finn can snap his fingers, his best friend that he has had wet dreams about, his supposed straight best friend, becomes his lover. It is everything Finn has ever wanted and so much more, but then fear sets in. Finn worries that this trip is just an adventure for Nate, that once they get back home things will go back to what they were before, and he’s not sure his heart could survive that.

This book was just so romantic and fun, light-hearted and serious all at the same time. While these two have been besties forever and can read each other like a book, they’ve never opened up about the one thing they have kept secret from each other for over two decades.

Now on a whirl wind trip across the country, surrounded by some of the most beautiful and romantic places as pit stops, they start to explore a more passionate type of relationship. It was beautiful and endearing. Ashwood really captured the beauty of the trip with wonderful descriptives of every place Finn and Nate stopped at on their trip, she had to have done months of research into the story she told of their journey, and it definitely came across visually in the words I was reading.

There really were four main characters in this story. Finn, Nate, the scenery as they bounced around the countryside on their thirty themed trip, and the love that grew exponentially from the beginning of the book, right down to the last knee bending page.

The story flowed well from beginning to end as well, a steady pace growing gradually as did my anticipation, I was so anxious to see how the trip ended for Finn. Would he and Nate continue to add to the foundation they started on the trip? Or would his worst fear be realized and the love they shared on their journey just be some kind of phase for Nate?

This book was a little bit gay for you and a whole lot of hopeless romantic, a little bit of angst but a whole lot of passion. Like I said, just a fun read and I had a smile on my face the entire time. Held my breath a couple of times, unsure of how something stated or hinted at would play out, but so happy in the end when I got a little misty eyed and finally let out that breath. Definitely a must read!
