Review: This is the first book written by Melody Lane that I have read. The story itself was pretty amazing although the way it was told was a bit disappointing. It comes off like it is written by a newbie. It comes off a little rushed and could have used some slang. It doesn’t take away from the story itself, but continues to stick in my mind. However it has great potential, but it just comes off a bit strange. I truly enjoyed it. The characters were beautifully written with big hearts and great attitude.

Ryan is a vampire and although it does say a bit about how and when, you really don’t get a clear answer on how he became one. All I do know is he hates it so much, that he is basically a test subject. He gets infusions and follows the rules so that one day he will become human once more.

While out to see a speaker, death showed up. Vampires were the target, but lucky for Ryan he had gotten out of the auditorium before it happened. He was a doctor and pretty much had it all under hand, but did appreciate the help of a gorgeous man. To his shock his old class mate was the man who helped him. A man that he had wanted even in high school.

Eric is a shape-shifter who can turn into about any type of domestic dog. He was also a gorgeous bounty hunter. His main focus at the moment was to catch a man and woman wanted by the courts. Many of the leads to the bombing and shootings have led to a group that wanted revenge against vampires.

It turns out that his jumpers were more than they thought. He was also reunited with Ryan. He had wanted Ryan in high school and now he has the chance to make it work.

Like I said these two guys are great but they come off as a bit strange or off. It has a bit of danger to it, a touch of suspense and some hot sex. The story line and plot are pretty damn good.

However it feels rushed and there is just something missing from the whole story that keeps coming to my attention. The problem with that is I just can’t figure it out. It did not take away from the story though. I had a blast reading it and look forward to reading book two.

Blurb: When the line between “need” and “want” gets blurred…

Gabriel DuVal, rising soccer star.

Jared Sheldon, team physician.

To the outside world, they’re just good friends. But the truth is, Gabriel isn’t entirely sure what they are to each other.

Some call their relationship unhealthy. Some call it codependency. Gabriel calls it confusing. He knows Jared wants him – as more than a friend. He doesn’t want Jared. He’s straight, he has a girlfriend, and he loves her. But Jared is… Jared is more. Jared is his. He needs him – his touch and his strength.

But is it enough for Jared?

Publisher’s warning: This is not a light-hearted story; this is a rather twisted gay-for-you story. It contains some steamy MM scenes, strong language, and two people so wrapped up in each other that the nature of their relationship goes beyond friendship–and beyond normal.

Review: The relationship in this story is as it states, unhealthy. It does not start out healthy and even in the end may still not be. But it does work out in the end for Jared and Gabriel.

These two met when Gabriel was a seventeen year old injured young man. All the doctors had given up hope that he would walk again. Jared was his physical therapist who fought beside him to get Gabriel back on his feet. Flash forward a few years and now Gabriel is a high paid professional footballer in England and Jared is the head doctor for the club.

These two love each other. That is never the question. However Jared is gay and Gabriel is very much straight. For Jared this is a type of hell. He wants more than just a friendship, he wants everything. Finally there is an event that pushes Jared over the edge and he finally decides it is time to leave England and go back to the states. Gabriel does not handle Jared leaving well, at all.

Gabriel is selfish, and can be an asshole. He knows this and admits it. But Jared is the one person in world who is his, who he loves. He would do anything to keep Jared in his life. Jared is truly heartbreaking at times. He is so in love with Gabriel, but it is slowly destroying him as time goes on. Even when he leaves he still cannot forgot Gabriel.

I loved Jared. He was stuck in a very difficult situation. What I didn’t expect was to like Gabriel so much. However he actually grew on me. Together these two men worked together. But through it all it was very apparent that this was not the unhealthiest way to start a love story.

This book shows what some would do for the person they love most. It was emotional, heartbreaking, touching, and finally hopeful. It was a delightful little package that very much surprised me in a good way.

He’s tried every diet available, but Sal has never really been motivated until he sets his eyes on the dominant werewolf Kal Walker. Every inch of Kal screams dangerous, but Sal can’t keep away.

After their old pack disbanded, Kal Walker and his brothers have a hard time integrating into the New Haven pack. Killing’s the only thing Kal’s good at and peace is a concept he’s been struggling with. He’s been unsure of his purpose until he meets Sal during a monster hunt. Review: Each book in the Wolves of New Haven collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, would recommend reading the series in sequential order. I have read many of Angelique’s stories and can usually be entertained.

However it seems that each one of these stories comes off rushed. It tells how the boys get to where they are at and how they are the way they are. But there are many questions that could be answered if the story had been expanded a bit with more details. I was quite disappointed in the fact that the author tried to put a complete story in to a short story. It would have been better if it had been more to it.

Kal and his brothers had a hard time when they were children. Their mother was nothing more than a drug head and when it came down to it she was not there for her kids. So when a werewolf shows up wanting to know where their money is, he ended up taking the boys. Then when the pack is defeated Kal and the others find themselves in the New Haven pack.

He finds his mate at a diet center ran by other wolves. Sal comes off as a submissive but to me he is stronger than Kal in many ways. During the time trying to find the evil consuming others, they are trying to make their mating work. Now in this story they meet, Sal basically tells him off, then there is a bit of courting but Kal comes off harsh most of the time. Then they get down and dirty.

If it had been expanded then it would have made a bit more sense to this story. It is just too rushed to fall in love with. Too short to give a good story what it deserves.

Review: This little short was seriously adorable and I loved it. It was unique and hilarious, with little flashes of seriousness. I loved Richard with his normalness and Brian with his very not normalness.

The writing was on point and fast paced. The whole thing was just well done and very enjoyable. I laughed throughout the story with the wise assery of Brian. He was just awesome. Richard is great as the human dragged into a Fairy situation through no fault of his own.

Very light and funny read.

Review: Stephani Hecht is one author that you can be guaranteed will give you an amazing story that you will fall in love with. Each book in this series features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved.

There is something about the way that this author tells a story that will not only draw you in and keep your attention the whole time, but it will more than likely have you laughing your ass off at some point. There is just something about her characters, story and the way they mix with each other.

The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story. This story is perfect for when you are trying to take a break.

There is a bit of a serious tone to them but there is a lot of humor in them that I love. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book.

Bronson is pretty much the alpha of their little pack. Misfits that don’t really fit in anywhere else. Bronson is a Spring Heeled Jack. There is even a unicorn, and the twins who are Abominable Snowman and Big Foot. When Bronson goes into his office he finds it clean. Not saying he is dirty but the office need the help. He knew of only one species that is fanatic about cleaning. So when the little Brownie shows himself, he is shocked to find out that this little guy is his mate.

Nixon is running from something but it doesn’t really say what it is. He had left his home, which had been similar to Bronson’s. He had feared his little family had been killed and just wanted a safe place to be. It doesn’t hurt that Bronson turns him on. This story has many different twists and turns that will keep your attention. I love the mixture of characters that are offered in this story. Most stories are vampires, shape-shifters and so on but this one gives you guy that quite frankly I have not heard of.

It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun. It will also have you biting your nails with the danger that comes for them. Sexy paranormal men, excitement, a bit of suspense, lots of action and danger is just a bit of what you would get in this story.

I was hoping for a longer story with a bit more to it though. I can’t wait to see what the next book will give me.

Review: Marco and Roger have been best friends since childhood. When they were nineteen Marco admitted how he really felt about Roger. Things did not go as planned. But they were able to recover their friendship and move with their lives.

It has been ten years since that night and their friendship almost ended. Roger has come to visit Marco making it the first time they have seen each other in two years. Roger then proceeds to drop a bombshell on Macro that changes the whole course of their friendship.

This was a cute little short about two longtime friends who find something more with each other. This tells the story of the past and the future.

The writing was good, the sex was hot, and I liked the friends to more theme. I personally would have like a little more “Now” and a little less “Then” though. But other than that it was well done all in all.

While building a conservatory for a Victorian house northwest of downtown Baltimore, Mike meets Ash, the landscaper hired to restore the gardens, when Ash distractedly stumbles over some of Mike’s equipment.

Mike offers to take Ash to dinner as an apology, Ash hesitantly agrees, and the two men start dating. Then Mike is pulled away from his next assignment of building fireplaces by a promotion he doesn’t want, only to be fired for incompetence two weeks later.

Review: This is the third book in the Workplace Encounters series and the best so far. It can be read as a standalone because even though the books are part of a series, they don’t have any characters in common.

One thing these books have in common so far is the theme. One of the main characters loses his job while the other MC helps him through this rough period. I wish there was more originality to the story lines. I understand the main idea is that the characters meet at their place of employment, however, there are so many exciting directions the story can take; the fact that the job loss is a recurring theme speaks of a severe lack of inspiration that results in predictable and somewhat boring stories.

I liked one of the main characters, Mike; he was a hardworking, honest man. He valued his family and his friendships, and I appreciate that in a character. However, Mike is 27 years old and still closeted. The only person who knows he is gay is his best friend, and Mike is terrified to come out to his family because he fears they will no longer love him.

When he just shows up with Ash at a weekly family lunch with no warning that Ash is a male, his mother didn’t bat an eyelash (in fact, she knew he was gay, but there were no explanations as to how she came to that conclusion), and his father (who was surprised his son was gay) has always wanted a son-in-law, even though he only has three sons.

I didn’t really like Ash that much. His behavior during their first dinner date was weird and awkward, and to me, somewhat gross. I personally think rubbing your feet on a stranger you just met the day before and are trying to make an impression on, in order to figure out if the person is gay or not, is not an acceptable behavior, especially during dinner. Or maybe it’s just me since I think feet are kind of gross and I wouldn’t want anyone rubbing them on me, especially someone I don’t know very well.

The blurb hints to a mystery of who sabotaged Mike’s work in order to cause him harm. Let me warn you that if you’re looking forward to a mystery that will keep your mind engaged in trying to find out whodunit before it’s revealed you’re going to be disappointed. The person responsible is obvious, even before he does anything!!!

On a good note, the grammar was virtually flawless, which is a very good thing. This book is perfect for anyone looking to read a light book, with very little drama and predictable storyline and outcome of events.

Review: I loved the three men from the Jarhead series. I have reread the books in the series several times. These stories take place after they have moved to California. Rock and Dick are running a successful gym, and Rig has his own medical practice.

If you have read the books than you know these three get up to some very sexy, dirty, kinky, and downright raunchy sex. They are no different in these story stories. In fact that is mostly what they are about.

But besides the sex, which is damn good, they show that Rock, Rig, and Dick are still going strong. They are very much in love with each other. They are able to read what the others need and provide it. Each man is given the appreciation, touch, and most of all love they need to be happy.

Even after all the years they have been together they have never lost sight of the bound and love they have. They are getting older but they sure don’t act like it. And if one does the other two show him that they still have it.

It was a nice sexy little trip to visit some of my favorite characters. Now I need a cold drink to cool down. Because this three definitely still burn up the pages.

Blurb: Alexander Sheldon likes order and control in his life. He isn’t happy when his girlfriend invites another guy for a threesome. Alexander believes in monogamy, and he’s never been good at sharing his things. It doesn’t help that Christian rubs him the wrong way from the beginning.

But what starts as animosity turns into something else. Something unexpected and very wrong.

He was never supposed to touch Christian. He was never supposed to feel possessive of the guy. And he most definitely wasn’t supposed to want Christian more than he wants his girlfriend.

It’s a recipe for disaster.

Publisher’s note: This book contains some M/F/M scenes, but it has an M/M HEA.

Review: I loved Christian. He is a witty, charming, smart ass. I enjoyed him in the first book of the series and looked forward to him getting his story.

Alexander is a hard man to get a feel for. He gave Christian so many mixed signals. I fault badly for Christian. Here he was falling for man who could not even own up to his feelings. Alexander was big into denial of how much he really wanted Christian. Although finally he did find his balls and claim Christian.

Mila called herself Christian’s friend. But when she felt threatened she has no problem talking badly about Christian to Alexander. Also when the story was told from her POV I wanted to beat her. She was so stupid inviting Christian into a threesome. She was selfish and just wanted to sleep with Christian so she found a way to get it. And really got what she deserved when Alexander left her for Christian.

I sort of knew what I was getting when I started reading. But yeah, the “some” M/F/M was very misleading. The girlfriend Mila is in the book up until about 80%. She was involved in almost all the sex scenes, which kind of ruined them for me a good amount. I like straight up M/M without the girly bits please.

Ok, enough bitching on my part. Well, maybe.

The fact that Christian finally got his man in the end and that I loved his character is the only reason I gave it a three heart rating. Mila was a twit and annoyed me the whole way through. Alexander needed some sense knocked into him. If wasn’t really until he faced he may lose him to some else that he made a move.

So yeah, this book really was not my favorite. I was left unsatisfied with everything. Mila stuck around way too long for my tastes. Alexander took too long to own up to wanting Christian. Really Christian was the only thing that really gave me enjoyment. That and the cameo from Shawn and Rutledge.
