Review: Linc has his eyes opened by friends about Chance. Linc has known Chance since middle school when he stopped people bullying Chance. He has run from Chance every chance he has gotten. But that doesn’t mean he’s not interested…he’s just scared to get hurt.

When Chance is showing him a property, he mentions that he will be moving to the city. That is an eye opener for Linc. He has to show Chance what he feels for him.

This was awesome story and I can’t wait to see what happens next

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE BOOK: A must read series. The books just keep getting better. A MUST READ

Review: Adrian is leaving his home in Australia to come to America to a ranch in Texas he inherited from his Aunt. I love how N.J. has mixed two countries that both deal with similar issues. Lockie wasn’t too worried about the flooding since they have never had a bad one that he could recall. They have had mild floods so they have some barns and stables on the highest levels of the property.

Adrian has been in a very serious flood resulting in deaths and is pretty panicky, but Lockie is there to console him. His distractions can be pretty hot.

Storming Love deals with natural disasters that usually end with a happy or happy-for-now end. I liked Lockie and Adrian. I don’t always love stories with love at first sight, but this one won me over. The chemistry was just right between the two men…Lockie has a secret that made it easier to like for me…and the way they all work together to get through the disaster was pretty awesome. I live in an area prone to flooding though we haven’t had one quite as bad as this so I could easily relate.

If you like natural disasters, floods, romance, love at first site, Australian and Texan accents, a bit of suspense, a cute dog and some fairly hot man-sex this is for you.

I liked this book a lot and think you will too.

Review: This is the first time I have read anything by this author and I got to say that it was a very odd story. So odd in fact that I absolutely had a blast reading it. I wasn’t really sure what I was going to be reading but it was a very entertaining little story. I do really hope to read some more books by this author. K.M. has a way of giving me a story that keeps my attention from start to finish. The characters are quite surprising and an absolute dream.

Torgny was hired to kill the dragons that were terrorizing a village. So when he finds himself face to face with a dragon, he is shocked. The little girl is probably no bigger than a cat. There is no way that this could be doing what the villagers said. Then he comes face to face with the dragon herder and he is turned the hell on. Now to keep Noel and his charges safe is his first priority.

He was even more shocked by how many there were.
Noel takes one look at Torgny and wants him for his mate. However Noel has the gift of sarcasm and dry humor. He comes across like an ass, and for some reason Torgny loves it. Noel however has a few surprises left inside of him. Like who his father is for one.

I had such a blast reading this story and look forward to reading it more than once. Sexy men, shape-shifting dragons, excitement and a touch of danger are just a few items that you get from this story. Not to mention some hot sex. I would definitely recommend reading it.

Review: I am finding this review hard to frame. There is no doubt that I like this book and that I have been pulled into the world of these young men. The story features an array of characters, including Jimmy, Jake, Mason and Kyle where they are in a sort of inner city camp to “heal” these young men who had been caught with another guy or came out of the closet to their parents. This book is very information dense for something that is so short, which I tend to find as a good thing.

However, it is very evident that this is stylised as a serial. As much as I enjoyed this one, I am left wanting more – again, that’s down to the style. There’s a lot of gritty emotion and sexual tension aplenty.

In short, cannot wait to read more!

House Without a Key by A.J. Llewellyn

Genre: Paranormal
Length: Short (20 pages)
Publisher: Amber Quill (November 30th, 2014)
Heat Level: Moderate
Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥3.5Hearts
Blurb: It’s tough being married and in love. Sneaking away for some private time is proving impossible for Hawaii’s hottest kahuna, Kimo Wilder, and his husband, Lopaka. They say it takes a village to raise kids. It takes more than that to keep their three toddlers and two visiting cousins occupied so that Kimo and Lopaka can have some “we time.”

To that end, Kimo’s planned a decadent tryst at the sumptuous Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki with the promise of a sexy breakfast and a dirty romp in a house without a key. Kimo’s being mysterious about the details, but Lopaka’s happy to let the mystery unfold.

There’s just one little problem. Where did the frogs suddenly jumping around their feet come from? Turns out enlisting family members to babysit isn’t the only solution to a scorching “daddy date.”

Sometimes, magic is imperative…

Review: This is a hot and sexy book which is more or less a caveat of AJ Llewellyn’s Phantom Lover series. It may not seem like a paranormal book – and it isn’t except for the instance of some frogs – but this does come from a series steeped in Hawaiian tradition.

That being said, if you haven’t read any of the Phantom Lover series, you are going to be completely lost as to what’s going on. For anyone who loved the series or is at least familiar with the characters the mysterious Kimo and his husband Lopaka, this is a book about a couple just trying to get time together without their kids around – preferably to spend it in bed.

Short and sweet, it’s a rather pleasant way to pass a few minutes and meet up with a couple of familiar faces.

Review: My review for this one is very much similar to my thoughts/review of book 1 of the Dudley Brothers series by Eric Thornton. We have now moved on from the vampire Dave to his “brother”, Chester. He seems to be a mercenary with bad eyesight. Perhaps I overlooked it, but I couldn’t figure out if he still had bad eyesight after he was turned into a vampire.

Once more we are dealing with the familiar theme of vampire finding – or tracking – down his mate. Again, like book 1, this is a simple story. Chester’s mate also happens to be a mercenary, Artie – though Artie fights his feelings. It seems like the big bad mercenary is scared of his feels (sorry, I love using “feels” and it seemed perfect). As with the first book this is a good and quick read. There isn’t too much in the way of character development and really fleshing out the story line (which really could have been scorching hot with two mercenaries getting it on!)

Another point that is the same from the first book is the writing style. This is entirely written in the present tense and reads off more like dot points rather than continuous text. Once more, I’m going to sit on the fence about that particular point. I enjoyed the story enough that I am more than curious about the next brother’s story.

Blurb: Adventure brought unlikely lovers Lord Leonard “Leo” Harris and Master Leathersmith Gerald Smithson together. Now it threatens to tear them apart. Three weeks before their wedding, a plague strikes Victorian London—the worst to engulf the city in five hundred years. The symptoms are eerily reminiscent of the Black Death with boils, a horrific death, and immunity to magical cures.

As one of the most powerful mages in the country, Leo searches for a cure and the person behind the scourge all while Gerald must finalize wedding plans and try to thwart a persistent—and unwanted—“admirer.”

It’s a race against time as Gerald shows symptoms, and Leo must fight a powerful Dark Mage to get the cure before he loses the love of his life.

Review: It has been several months since the events that first drew Gerald and Leo together. They are just a few weeks from their wedding day when several things happen, a plague and a secret admirer for Gerald.

Leo is pulled in two different directions as he works to find a cure for the sickness that is spreading in London. With the help of several other mages they look for anything that will stop the deaths. Adding to all of this is the new worry about a secret admirer leaving disturbing gifts for Gerald.

Gerald is coping with several things of his own. He needs to get used to being treated differently as his is marrying a lord. He fears he may not measure up or be good enough for Leo. On top of all this there is the planning of the wedding and the realization that his life will never be the same. Oh and the creepy gifts he keeps getting.

Both Leo and Gerald love each other. But that does not stop them from having their issues. Gerald may be physically bigger than Leo, but that does not stop Leo from getting over-protective.
This author created an incredible world. She managed to mix Victoria England with mages and make something unique. The history is tweaked enough to make it all work seamlessly. I loved how marriages are treated the same regardless of the sexual match.

I loved the main characters as well as many of the secondary characters. Leo is not the average nobleman and has no problems breaking the rules. He has a strong understanding of himself and goes after what he wants. But is careful not cross the lines. Gerald is a big tender-hearted man. He sees the best in people, which has also caused him to be burned. Harry, Gerald’s best friend, is just hilarious. He is just such as wise ass and loves to cause trouble. Gerald’s granddad is just plain awesome, and turns out to be hiding a big secret.

There were a few things I did not like. It seemed at times like Gerald was treated as the “girl” in the partnership. He was expected by many others to give up working since he was marrying into the gentry. Also he seemed a little like a damsel in distress at times with how much trouble in got into through no fault of his own. These and a few other things just bugged me as I read along.

Also there story is so full of the mystery behind the sickness and other issues, that it seemed the book was more about that then the relationship and romance. I don’t know, it just was missing something that would have made it perfect for me.

Overall a well written novel about a very interesting and creative world.
