Sheer boredom propels them into each other’s company. Lang begins to see the ascerbic wit under Vidal’s complaining exterior, and Vidal appreciates Lang’s serenity about things that can’t be changed. Except his hair and beard. Vidal’s determined Lang will visit a barber as soon as he can arrange it.

Review: This is a very cute and hot little story. It is told in such a way that you get a lot of story in a small dynamic story. This story has a lot of potentials but I do wish that it had been expanded. It tells about their past a bit and how they ended up in a small town. They meet and hook up, and then they are talking about moving in and so on. It moves way to fast to make the story perfect. There needs to be something there that keeps your attention other than sex.

Lang is a defense lawyer who hates his job. He tries to get the little ass off, and ends up with a hit put on him by some idiots. Suggested on taking a vacation, he heads off to Two Waters beach to enjoy his time away. He comes across Vidal. And wants him with every part of his body. Vidal is a cranky, stubborn ass who had a heart attack. The doctor tells him to get away and heal. It also meant exercise time. He meets Lang and finds out that exercising is not so bad as long as it involves some hot sex.

I don’t know what to actually say without giving the story away. I did enjoy it but it is missing something to make it the perfect story. I would have loved for it to be expanded and give the guys a little bit of time before things heat up. Like I said it is a cute little story that will get your heart beating fast and your breath catching. I enjoyed reading it, but wished that it had more to it.

Review: In a world where things are not what they seem and we now know vampires and werewolves exist, Sabine is trying to prove that ghosts also exist. He should know since his lover Bart is a ghost. After finding a mysterious circlet things have gotten even stranger in Sabine’s world.

I liked this story a lot but I’ll admit I had expected more. We went from the cliffhanger at the end of the first book to two months later. I would have liked to known what exactly Bart went through that was now making him stronger on our plane. I guess this does leave a mysterious air to the story though. There are new characters introduced that if you haven’t read the fourth book in the first round kind of made things a bit harder to follow as well.

But all in all it’s an interesting story, with intriguing characters.
If you like connected stories, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, interesting characters, mystery, artifacts and some off this plane romance this is for you.

Review: As a deadly flood ravages the town of Copper creek the citizens pull together to help evacuate the areas affected by the flood. Bridge and Doug get a chance to bond

Copper Creek is experiencing the worst flood in ages. Bridge is a deputy helping with the evacuation. He meets Doug a certified endurance swimmer. Doug is there to take care of his

Grandfathers place while he is in the hospital. Doug volunteers to help. The two men bond.

I liked this story and Both Doug and Bridge. I can relate to the story as I live in a flood zone and have been through it, but I have to say when it came to the sex scenes it left me cold. I found them a bit clinical. The author kept saying the penis…and the toe thing really creeped me out.

So why did I give a 4? I loved the actual story. I loved both Bridge and Doug. I loved how the community rallied together in a time of need. To me sex scenes are just icing on the cake and if the cake is good enough I don’t need icing.

So if you like a good heartfelt story, some suspenseful moments me in uniform and a happy ending this is for you.

Blurb: Three months after losing his parents in a car crash, Denver weatherman Daniel Whitaker returns to Laramie, Wyoming. It’s bad enough dealing with the death of his parents and his failing relationship of fifteen years, but when he finds his childhood home full of clutter, Daniel is at a loss. He enlists Landon, his parents’ sexy neighbor, to help him sort through the mess. Landon Kushner is a study in contradictions. He builds wind sculptures out of scrap metal and loves the outdoors, but he also rides a mint-green Vespa and has an affinity for knitting and fortune-telling. He’s been friends with Daniel’s parents for years, and he’s more than willing to lend a hand.

Their plan is simple: clean the house so Daniel can sell it and get back to his life in Denver. But when a strange cookbook comes into Landon’s possession, Daniel begins to realize that the universe – and Granny B – may have other plans.

Review: It’s safe to say baking zucchini bread will never be the same again. I absolutely loved this book. I think the magic of Granny B’s cookbook was best represented in this story.

Daniel and Chase have been together for 15 years, and even though their relationship is slowly falling apart, Daniel still hopes to find a way to fix it. It was easy to see why Daniel was clinging to the past, and even though Chase was a no good little shit, I couldn’t help but be a little heartbroken over their failing relationship.

Landon is the man who gives Daniel the bad news about his parents’ death. He’s also the wonderful person who’s been helping Daniel’s parents for the past 5 years, the one who’s helped mend the relationship between Daniel and his parents. I loved Landon; he is such a bright, caring, amazing person, one whose innate goodness and happiness bring back the simple feeling of joy to Daniel.

I really wish this book was longer, or maybe written from Landon’s POV as well, as opposed to only Daniel’s, because I wanted to get to know more about Landon.

I thought the way Granny B’s recipes helped Daniel make the right decisions was genial! The meatloaf helped him see thought all the bullshit, the chicken soup and banana bread helped mend his broken heart and the zucchini/banana bread Landon baked for him…..well the consequences were smokin’ hot.

You’ll have to read that for yourself.

There is no cheating in this book, at least not any done by Daniel, and even though his relationship with Chase ends, they get the closure they both need. While I would’ve loved to see more of Landon and Daniel together, their HEA was sweet and heart-warming.

This was an amazing addition to the Tales of the Curious Cookbook series, definitely recommended.

Review: This story has the familiar themes of many paranormal books. Ancient vampire wants his mate, vampire finds his mate and now they need to get along. It’s a simple concept that really hasn’t been explored in too much depth here, short much like the blurb.

Of course, that can be a good thing or a bad thing, but if you got a spare half hour this book is perfect and a very pleasant read.
The Vampire in question is Dave (not really a vampiric sounding name for someone who reads a mass of MM paranormal books, but meh) and he is after his very human mate, Avery.

One thing I am going to mention because I know there are people who, like me, are not real keen on reading books written in the present tense. Admittedly, if the story was any longer I probably would have been turned off, but I feel that the tense rather suited the length and style. When I say style, I mean that the story reads more like a series of dot points, again, could be a good or bad thing, though personally I’m going to sit on the fence about that particular point.

Review: Each book in the Primal Heat collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Olin and his twin Ollie’s parents were murdered by their old alpha. Then their cousin and best friend ended up in another pack mated to the alpha from there. There was not an ongoing war but the packs pretty much stayed away from each other. Although Olin and Ollie still went over and spent time with Gabriel. Olin spent his time fighting with them, but in fact Cooper turned him the hell on.

Cooper wanted Olin but didn’t really know how to get past what he could tell was Olin’s way of coping with what has happened in the past. Then Cooper goes in to primal heat and Olin wants to run as fast as he can. On top of trying to get his mate to want him enough to stick around, there was a bounty out on Cooper and Karidon. People were coming out of the wood work for them. Now he has to protect his mate, his family and mate’s family.

Boy was he going to kick someone’s ass.

There is something about the way that Lynn tells a story that will not only draw you in and keep your attention the whole time, but it will more than likely have you laughing your ass off. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story.

It was the perfect story for me and I loved it. I can’t wait to read the next story. What makes it even better is that the mates can get pregnant. There is nothing better than a male having to go through labor. I love the way that Cooper and Olin fight, but how they slowly come together. It also makes me glad that Cooper is the type to not only recognize what Olin is going through but he is willing to take his time showing Olin that he is not leaving him. He goes out of his way to show the man that he loves him.

I think Olin however is my favorite in this story. He is just so tender-hearted even with an attitude. He is the one that makes me feel the most.

When Lynn puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. They do have a bit of a serious would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: Each book in the Fire Dragon’s collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved.

This is the first book written by Kelex that I have read and I have got to tell you that it was fascinating. The world she has written about fascinated me and had me wishing to be there also. These dragons went through so much to get where they are now.

In fact Rhaege went through more than any ones fair share. With his first mate Michel he was so much in love. Then he was taken away from him by the ghost dragon wanting the fire dragon’s heart stone. He refused and was cursed to lose all his mates.

After the seventh mate was killed, he knew he could never try again. It hurt too much to lose another. So when he finds out that the little pick pocket was his mate, he was not only shocked but scared. He knew he had to get him some where safe because if he was with him, his little mate would die.

Micah is not only feisty but a very tender-hearted little mate. He was sixteen when he tried to pick Rhaege’s pocket. He had been having dreams since meeting him. He knew it was his past lives coming through. He knew Rhaege was his. However Rhaege sent him away to be safe. He didn’t want to be safe, he wanted to be claimed and loved. That is all he ever wanted.

Then an ancient dragon comes back to take it all away from him again. It was time to unite and fight to keep everyone safe. This is more than just dragons, which I love to read about but it shows how two men go through hell to get where they are at now. The ghost turns out to be one that had been trusted many years before to one that is to be feared. I loved how Rhaege was going to sacrifice their happiness to keep the man he loves safe and alive.

It shows how much strength he had.

There is something about the way that Kelex told this story that not only drew me in but I could not take my attention off of it. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story.

This story is perfect for when you are trying to take a break serious tone to them but there is a just a hint of humor in them that I love. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book.

I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series. One that I will have to read over and over. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. It was the perfect story for me and I loved it. I can’t wait to read the next story.

I can tell that from now on every book Kelex writes, I will more than likely be grabbing them up. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: Dax is an Iraqi war veteran trying to find himself in a world full of sounds, noises and smells while suffering from PTSD. He lost his lover and his sanity over there, and now he has isolated himself from most people for fear of pain and loss. Then he meets sexy tattoo artist Beckett, and all that changes.

Beck has been through the ringer, in more ways than one. The one constant in his life has been to protect his sister, and now, his niece. When his sister is sent off to rehab, Beck quickly steps up and takes charge to care of Violet’s care with a little assistance from the guy he’s trying very hard not to want.

Both men have lost a lot and have very valid reasons not to trust anyone, but the pull they feel to one another is something electric and true, it’s also impossible to deny. While they struggle with their fast growing feelings, their own personal demons and the stress of raising a little girl. Someone from Beck’s past shows up at the tattoo shop and threatens to destroy their still fragile relationship.

I’m really enjoying watching Collins skills as an M/M author grow to rival her pervious M/F works. Her stories are always raw and realistic with elements of darkness to one or more of the characters past. But they always find their way through that darkness with love, trust and a whole lot of passion!

Collins also did her research into the finite details of PTSD for this story. I’ve known many people who suffer through it being a military brat. That element of truth just gave this story that much more of an edge and in turn, made Dax such and appealing character.

I must issue a Kleenex warning, there are a couple of times I was a little choked up while reading. When you learn the reality of Beck and his sisters past, especially when it comes back to haunt them, I had a death grip on my kindle I was so wound up!

If you like love stories that have a dark, gritty edge to them… those hard sought happy ever after’s that will leave you cheering in the end, then this is a must read book.

The cause of The Pulse had remained a mystery and become the cause of speculation of fear. If it had microchips in it, it was dead, finished beyond all repair. The anomaly which had wiped out their life had become known as The Pulse and the events following it had become known as The Crash.

Blurb: If the fall is inevitable, might as well enjoy the tumble.
Months after a scaffolding accident leaves him in chronic agony, construction worker Ryan Powell has exhausted all that Western medicine has to offer. He’s willing to try anything, even yoga, to get some relief.

He expected to feel out-of-place at the New Age Center, but he never expected a power-outage bathroom encounter to magically erase his pain. When he discovers the man with the magic hands is his drop-dead-sexy yoga teacher, Ryan decides that there might just be something to this metaphysical thing, after all.

Yogi Niklas Baumgartner has found it remarkably easy to keep his shiny vow of chastity untarnished—until now. Still, a bathroom hand job doesn’t really count as sex, right? But his footing on the no-nooky wagon slips when he realizes the big, blond bear at the back of the class is his man in the dark.

Their unlikely attraction brings out sides of themselves they never knew lurked beneath the surface, sides it takes courage to accept. But when trust is broken, repairing the damage might just tear them apart.

Warning: Contains a gentle giant, a dominant orgo-bunny, a pair of weighty manacles, too many movie references, accidental porn, overcoming stereotypes, and deliciously kinky sex.

Review: Ryan is a construction worker who was injured on the job. He is currently on workers comp and still suffering from extreme back pain. On the advice of his doctor he decides to try yoga as a way to help get rid of the pain. So even though he is uncomfortable about the idea he goes to the local New Age Center. During a little power outage in the men’s locker room Ryan and a stranger with great hands get a little up close and personal.

That stranger turns out to be his new yogi.

Nik is a very interesting character. He has a vow of chastity going on and has kept it for five years. Until Ryan comes along. Ryan is the first man to really attract Nik. I actually understood Nik’s idea of the vow and it made sense for him. He did not come from a very good home life. In fact he had to run away at sixteen and be on his own. But the experiences left him unable to really emotionally attach himself to anyone, until Ryan. Ryan literally starts breaking down Nik’s walls simply by asking him how he wants things to go and giving Nik choices.

Ryan really is a gentle bear. He is very caring and trustworthy. He doesn’t push for things and he asks for what he wants, but doesn’t demand. He finds in Nik something he wants to hold onto. He also discovers someone who wants the same things sexually that he wants. Ryan wants someone who will tie him up, and Nix wants to have that control over Ryan. Ryan is really a good switch. He wants both to be submissive at times and alpha at others.

Neither Ryan nor Nix had the best family growing up, and they both made their ways away from them. But it has left them a little damaged. Together, and with a little help from a shrink and a good BDSM site, they make their way into their almost perfect relationship. But things are not easy for either of them and they have to work together. Along the way they discover their deepest sexual desires and explore them. Although when they fail to follow the advice of the BDSM site they nearly destroy what they have.

The story was not all drama through. There were some absolutely great comedy relief scenes. The humor was well placed and there was quite a few laugh out loud moments. Like when Ryan relieved the name of his penis as “Mr. Winky”, I almost died laughing, and his reason for the name even made perfect sense. There were movie references dropped all over, like South Park and The Kentucky Fried Movie. Ryan with his absolute potty mouth was another something that added good humor. Even better was that he corrupted Nik to start usually bad words. The accidental porn scenes had me in stitches.

This book was well written with a great combination of angst, comedy, and sexy moments. This is well worth a read. It shows what can happen to those who don’t communicate in a relationship, not only in BDSM but another other kinds too.
